I've been going to Vegas for about ten years and love virtually everything about it. For awhile, I was going by myself, simply because I wanted to go and my friends dragged their feet. Now that I'm married, I got my wife hooked on it, so much so that we got married at the Venetian over 5 years ago.

hm, good way to see it. las vegas has never really grown on me, and perhaps it was the approach that was all wrong. themes seem to be a good way to go. :)

wow you really nailed it. This is exactly how I feel about LV. Every time I'm there I'm fueled by a genuine excitement and love for the town and I very rarely get drunk. ;)

Macala, I'm so excited you saw my brand endorsement links. I've been trying to figure out how to pimp my favorite brands, because there are brands of certain products that as long as they don't change the formula, I will always purchase from them. Tumi is one of those brands. Every piece of luggage I own is from them. Seriously - no joke. They have an amazing warranty and the way their bags move - nothing like it.

I'm not going to be at CES. I'm going to be at Macworld and then The Crunchies, but after that heads down at work again. I agree. WE need to talk both soon! When will you be in SF?

And the City Tote was the best bag ever made by Tumi. It's the only thing I will rock for luggage.

We were there the same time as you. It was our first time and a great but cold experience.

My favorite thing there is the freedom of it. I do drink and I resent having California's hippy puritans plan my night for me, which is why I don't go out in SF as much as I normally do.

I also love how Vegas constantly reinvents and rebuilds itself. It has a Randian beauty to it. Every single part of Vegas was the idea of someone and therein lies it's beauty. In this respect it is very similar to Manhattan (Ayn Rand's favorite) and Miami (mine).
